Nuffield Council on Bioethics – Evaluation
In 2015 the Nuffield Council on Bioethics, an independent UK body that examines and reports on ethical issues in biology and medicine, commissioned Firetail to evaluate how successful the Council had been in meeting its strategic objectives.
Agriculture for Impact – Evaluation
Firetail has a long-term relationship with Agriculture for Impact, an independent advocacy initiative. Based at Imperial College London, this initiative seeks to influence European policy makers to support improved agricultural development in sub-Saharan Africa. We have conducted a number of evaluations for Agriculture for Impact, including a focus on 2015 activities.
Fixers – 2014 evaluation
One of our clients includes the Public Service Broadcast Trust, for whom we conducted a strategic evaluation of Fixers, a programme that helps young people run their own social action projects. Among a number of evaluations of Fixers, we carried out a full programme evaluation in 2009 and 2014.
Migration Observatory – 2013 evaluation
Firetail has delivered several evaluations of the Migration Observatory, a research organisation based at the University of Oxford. The project aims to provide independent, authoritative, evidence-based analysis on data on migration and migrants.
Strategic Legal Fund – External evaluation
The Strategic Legal Fund supports strategic legal work which benefits vulnerable young migrants. It was established as a pilot in 2011. Firetail conducted an independent evaluation to inform the future of the Fund.
Make Poverty History – Evaluation
Make Poverty History was a large, anti-poverty campaign consisting of charities, membership bodies, campaigning groups and celebrities who advocated to increase awareness of absolute poverty, and pressure governments into taking actions towards relieving this issue. In 2005, Firetail conducted the formal end-of-campaign evaluation.
