Andy Martin, DirectorAndy is an experienced consultant who has worked for a diverse range of corporate and non-profit clients on issues of strategy and corporate responsibility. He was previously Head of Strategy at Cancer Research UK, the UK’s largest charity. He helped to develop their new five-year fundraising strategy, their public health strategy and numerous other initiatives. He is an advisor to a number of start-up businesses and a director of the Democratic Society. Prior to starting Firetail, he was part of the team that founded consulting firm Credo, where he worked on strategy, innovation and transaction services. His first job was as an intern in the Prime Minster’s Policy Unit and he graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. |

Ethan Kline, ConsultantEthan has worked as a consultant with Firetail since 2007. He has a background in consulting to commercial clients in sectors including financial services, leisure and manufacturing. He has particularly strong experience in working at Board level on communications and change strategies. Prior to becoming a consultant he oversaw the European marketing for a leading Executive Search firm. He began his career as a legal policy analyst for the Corporation for National Service, a public-private partnership that engages Americans in community service. |

Dan Lewer, ConsultantDan is a consultant at Firetail. He has worked on major strategy development initiatives, campaign evaluations and research projects. Previously a strategy consultant working with local authorities, Dan graduated with a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics. In addition to his work at Firetail, Dan writes “In Balance” a well-regarded blog covering environmental issues and is a founding Director of Carbon Retirement, which is an innovative new model of carbon offsetting that retires emissions credits from the EU ETS. |

Guy Mallison, AssociateGuy is an Associate at Firetail, leading our work with academic institutions. He is an experienced business leader who has been providing strategic consultancy services to the public and private sectors for the last 15 years. Most recently Guy was the Managing Director of the Local Government Practice at Tribal Group Plc and before that the MD of RSe Consulting, a market-leading consultancy firm advising public sector clients. He graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Economics. |

Carolyn Culey, AssociateCarolyn is a hugely experienced consultant specialising in the international development sector with over 15 years experience in policy and campaigning. She led Oxfam GB’s parliamentary and government relations work for 11 years and has worked for organisations including Action Aid, BOND, World Vision and DATA. Her projects for Firetail have focussed on evaluating the political and advocacy strategies of civil society groups. Clients include the Global Campaign for Education, Oxfam International and Make Poverty History. Carolyn has a degree in Modern History and Politics from the University of Southampton. |

Clare Rance, Research AssistantClare is Firetail’s Research and Marketing Assistant. She previously worked in local government on community strategy and partnership work; as regional manager for Oxfam and as an archaeological research assistant with Exeter Archaeology. She has also worked for the Scottish Wildlife Trust on habitat surveying projects, and as a volunteer expedition project manager for Raleigh International. Clare has a postgraduate Certificate in Management Studies from the University of Plymouth and a degree in Geography and Planning. |
