Introduction

Firetail brings the rigour and approach of commercial strategy consulting to non-profit and social responsibility issues. We work in two main areas:
- strategy development for charities, non-profits and social enterprises
- environmental responsibility strategy

Andy Martin, Director

Andy is an experienced consultant who has worked for a diverse range of corporate and non-profit clients on issues of organisational strategy and corporate responsibility. Andy was previously Head of Strategy at Cancer Research UK, the UK’s largest charity. He helped to develop their new five-year fundraising strategy, their public health strategy and numerous other fundraising, marketing and communications initiatives. He is an advisor to a number of start-up businesses and a director of the Democratic Society. Prior to starting Firetail, he was part of the team that founded the consulting firm Credo, where he worked on strategy, innovation and transaction services. His first job was as an intern in the Prime Minster’s Policy Unit and he graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.

Carolyn Culey: Carolyn is formerly Deputy Director of Advocacy at Oxfam and has considerable experience in international development, advocacy and NGO strategy.

Dan Lewer: An expert in environmental issues, Dan writes “In Balance”, a well-respected blog about the environment and economics.
